I discovered Kaiut Yoga in 2021 in Austin, TX and knew immediately it was something different — not just another yoga style, but a method that genuinely works with the body rather than against it. I was impressed that whether you are dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury, or simply wanting to maintain or regain mobility as you age, these classes meet you exactly where you are at the moment.
I trained directly under Francisco Kaiut and became certified to share this practice, because I believe everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their body, regardless of age or physical condition. What draws me to this method — and keeps me here — is watching what consistent practice does for people. Not just physically, but in sleep, in mood, and in how they move through their days.
IAmMir Yoga — "Mir" meaning peace. It is both my name and my intention for everyone who walks through the door.
The Method
What Kaiut Yoga Is
Kaiut Yoga is a gentle, yet powerful therapeutic method developed by Brazilian chiropractor Francisco Kaiut for our modern bodies and busy lives. Unlike traditional yoga that focus on stretching muscles, it works systematically with your joints to restore natural movement patterns, regulate your nervous system, and support whole-body health — at any age or physical condition.
The method addresses what modern life does to our bodies — prolonged sitting, repetitive movement, stress — and works to reverse it through carefully sequenced floor-based positions held in held for longer durations in stillness and support.
Results include improved mobility and athletic performance, better sleep and energy, reduced pain and inflammation, enhanced mental focus and health, and a calmer nervous system.
Who Is This For?
Kaiut Yoga is for anyone who feels like their body has started working against them. You don't need to be flexible, fit, or have any yoga experience.
